Hot Fun in the Summertime
Remember the song by Sly and the Family Stone, Hot Fun in the Summertime? We always expect to have memorable fun, hot fun, and exciting experiences in the summertime. The catch is we want it with that special someone.
As we move toward the end of summer, what memories did you build with the one you love? Everything is better when you are in love and you share your life with that one person who makes your life worth living. Last year I took my vacation alone. I went to a dream spot and experienced so many places and new lifestyles that were exciting. But there was one thing missing; someone to share the memories with long after the vacation ends.
This year I shared my vacation with someone special. Specifically, we shared our vacation with each other. The beauty in this is my experience is still going on. It is still alive because we shared an experience that was unique to both of us. We still talk about the people we met, the places we saw, the food, the jokes; and we laugh together.
A relationship is about together. It is about sharing. It is about building memories while growing closer. The good thing about that, however, is summer should not end your quest for a better and more exciting relationship. What are you doing to extend your relationship season?

Nephrologist Martin Pollak and his team found that a common genetic mutation of the APOL1 gene might be partly responsible for African Americans' susceptibility.
The mutation likely arose due to natural selection because it protects against African sleeping sickness, Pollak wrote. Yet it also makes African Americans more vulnerable to kidney disease, according to the study released last month in the online issue of Science Magazine.
